Wendy Rice, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist and Owner/Founder Rice Psychology Group
Dr. Rice is originally from New York and earned her masters and doctoral degrees in Psychology from Yeshiva University in New York City. As the owner and founder of Rice Psychology Group, she and her team offer a variety of services and have helped countless individuals and families since the practice’s establishment in 2001. After being licensed for over a decade, Dr. Rice completed a postdoctoral certificate program in clinical neuropsychology under the guidance of renowned neuropsychologist Dr. Elkhonon Goldberg to better understand and treat the connections between learning, memory, brain functioning and behavior. In addition to offering a range of consultation and therapeutic services and overseeing the practice, one of her passions is conducting both issue-specific and comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations. Dr. Rice has extensive experience identifying gifted students as well as those who may be gifted and have a co-existing learning disability (such as dyslexia), anxiety or ADHD. These children and teens are often referred to as “Twice-Exceptional” or “2e”
Ashley Diehl Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist & Nationally Certified School Psychologist
Dr. Diehl is a Licensed Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist who specializes in both assessment (evaluations and testing) and therapy with children and adolescents. She is passionate about helping children receive the types of educational services that best match their individual needs and does this by offering gifted evaluations as well as comprehensive assessments for learning and neurodevelopmental challenges. In terms of therapy, Dr. Diehl specializes in positive psychology, helping children and adolescents build social-emotional learning, and in the delivery of services and supports in schools. She has experience working with individuals who have emotional, behavioral, and social difficulties, and has worked with in a variety of settings including public schools, alternative education, residential, and private practice.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Diehl relocated to Tampa and obtained her education specialist and doctorate degrees at the University of South Florida.
Anna Schrack, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist & Nationally Certified School Psychologist
Dr. Schrack is an integral member of our assessment team as she has a strong background in both assessment and school psychology. With her gentle approach and the ability to perform an array of IQ tests, Dr. Schrack works with students to help with eligibility determination for the Academically Gifted Programs in both public and private schools. She also performs comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations with children and adolescents who are struggling learning or psychological issues.
In addition to her assessment services, Dr. Schrack specializes in the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Exposure with Response Prevention (E/RP) in the treatment of Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) and related disorders. With her experience and training within the school system, Dr. Schrack is also valuable resource for families needing help with accommodations at school.
After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida, Dr. Schrack earned her masters and doctoral degrees in school psychology at the University of Florida. Her training and experience have included intensive experiences in the public school and specializing in anxiety and depressive disorders with the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida.
Amanda M. Cosgriff, Ph.D.
Psychology Resident
Dr. Amanda Cosgriff is a doctoral-level school psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA). She received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and her Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Mississippi State University. After completing her American Psychological Association (APA)-approved internship with the Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium (ISPIC), Dr. Cosgriff moved to Oklahoma City where she was a postdoctoral fellow for the Moore Autism Center, P.C. She is currently pursuing Florida psychology licensure under the supervision of Dr. Rice and Dr. Schrack.
Dr. Cosgriff has experience working with individuals with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, and depression, along with those that need help with making better choices, behavior difficulties, emotion regulation, and self-esteem. She has received extensive training in delivering evidence-based interventions rooted in applied behavior analysis for children/adolescents and emerging adults across a variety of settings including public schools, alternative education, university, and private practice. She also specializes in the assessment and treatment of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental delays and with children who exhibit behavioral difficulties.
Dr. Cosgriff uses a developmental and collaborative approach when working with families to identify effective interventions individualized to meet the needs of each client and family. Dr. Cosgriff is passionate about working with children/adolescents, young adults and their families to help them develop the skills they need to provide the best possible outcomes. Dr. Cosgriff’s love for helping others is easily seen with her humor, joy, and play when working with children and adolescents. This passion helps to engage her clients in treatment and almost effortlessly establish positive relationships. Dr. Cosgriff believes in the importance of teaching functional daily living skills, coping strategies, life skills, social skills, and identifying evidence-based interventions to help individuals become as successful as possible.
